(Senior) Manager, Analytical Chemistry

Centessa is looking for a (Senior) Manager, Analytical Chemistry that will be responsible for overseeing assigned analytical chemistry activities associated with process development, scale-up, release and stability of drug substances and drug products. Our analytical team is growing, and this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team.


  • Manage biopharmaceutical analytical methods throughout their lifecycle: testing, qualification, and troubleshooting
  • Review CROs/CDMOs data packages and reports
  • Trouble shoot project related issues with cross-functional and cross company teams
  • Manage development and validation of test methods, and assess specifications for SM, intermediates, DS and DP
  • Contribute to Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) sections in regulatory dossiers
  • Complete special projects as assigned


  • BS/BA  8+ years, MS with 6+ years or Ph.D. 4+ years post degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy or related field preferred.
  • Experience in assessment of technical data to provide technical reviews of analytical data, documents, and regulatory submissions within the industry
  • Strong knowledge of analytical method development and method validation through lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of ICH and FDA guidance for analytical method validation, stability, CTD, and submission of analytical data
  • Strong knowledge in the assessment of technical data to provide technical reviews of analytical data, documents, and regulatory submissions
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs with respect to analytical chemistry support of API, formulation and test methods for release and stability
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and enjoy scientific investigation and thinking, proactively identifying issues, and developing solutions in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment
