Raphael Deferiere is Chief Accounting Officer. He has over 20 years of experience advising companies in the life sciences industry on complex corporate finance and accounting matters. Prior to joining Centessa, Raphael was an Assurance Partner at Ernst & Young LLP (EY) where he provided assurance services primarily to clients in the Life Sciences sector. He has managed multiple client-related matters pertaining to technical accounting research, risk and internal controls, SEC accounting and reporting including Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 reporting, as well as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Raphael has broad international experience working for EY.
Raphael is a Certified Public Account and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received his bachelor’s in business administration from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.
